00107 - We salute you

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

The world will watch the funeral of Queen Elizabeth today, the sense of mourning and grief will be palpable.

There was no question that Faith played a huge role in her life, reminding us of Psalm 73:26, ‘My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever’. (NIV)

The lessons learned from this kind of steadfast service over decades, is to show up and keep showing up to the things we serve, even when it’s inconvenient, or when you just don’t want to. Dedication is the power to change things over time, the opportunity to influence generations, the ability to be constant in how we portray faith to everyone around us. Queen Elizabeth did all of that, with spectacular style. We salute the Queen, and thank her. Now salute the start of King Charles III reign, God save the King.

Quote We salute one of the greatest leaders we will ever know, Her majesty the Queen.

Prayer Father, help us to be mindful of our duty, to keep going no matter what, Amen.

Action Point If you are planning to quit something, just consider the reason and then decide if you should carry on for a while.
