Updated: Mar 10
Written over 1,600 years ago, the Bible is a collection of 66 books, written by 40 authors. It is the bestselling book of all time (over six billion copies sold) and remains the most influential book in history. Over 273,000 Bibles are sold each day worldwide. The Bible has shaped the foundation of Nations. It’s 1,189 chapters or 773,693 words have been translated into over 1,200 languages, touching the lives of billions of people around the world.
2 Timothy 3:16 says, ‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness’ (NIV).
The Bible is the big book, there is no replacement for it. Centuries after it was put together it still has relevant life changing advice and direction for us all. If we allowed our lives to be reflected back to us from the mirror of the Bible, what person would we really see?
Quote The best thing we can do each day is read a portion of the Bible.
Prayer Father, thank you that we have such a valuable resource as the Bible to guide us in our daily Christian walk, Amen.
