Don’t Let Romance Die

Carl Brettle

Updated: Jan 29

When any relationship starts, the early days are exciting. Your mind is full of the possibility of spending time with the other person. Not because you need to but because you desperately want to. Romance is in the air, and fun, spending hours talking and sharing with each other is on the agenda.

The message sums love up well, in 1 Peter 4:8 it says ‘Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything’ (MSG).

The problem most people have is the circumstance of life draw us away from that first love, way too often. We literally have to fight to keep up with having special time together, date night, a weekend away, a sneaky kiss. If romance is not what it was a while ago, then shake things up, do something to remind you of those fantastic early days.

Quote Romance will never die if you keep on loving relentlessly.

Prayer

Father, help me to love the way you should love to me through sending your son Jesus to reconcile us back to you, Amen.

Action Point If you are in a relationship, time to do something which you haven’t for a while.
