We’ve all seen that climate change is on the rise with adverse weather conditions happening all over the world. It’s a result of how we live in a modern age. We don’t properly consider what we do and often place our desire ahead of what’s best for the planet.
Imagine the small packet of green beans you buy which have been grown and flown in from Kenya or the New Zealand lamb transported halfway around the world. There are loads of things we buy which have racked up thousands of miles to be on our supermarket shelves.
1 Corinthians 4:2 says ‘Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful‘. (NKJV) The best thing we can do is avoid buying flown in produce, that will reduce the carbon emissions created to get it here. Buying local produce is good for farmers and very good for the environment.
Quote If we do our bit there is still hope of overcoming Climate Change.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please remind me to do what I can to buy good which are grown locally, Amen.
