When we give, we participate in God’s work, supporting ministries and causes that advance His Kingdom. This requires discernment to ensure that our resources are used effectively in areas that truly make a difference in spreading the Gospel and helping those in need.
Whether it's supporting our local Church or community projects, these interests reflect the diversity of God's creation and our unique roles within it.
2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV) says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." This reminds us that giving should be a joyful and voluntary expression of our gratitude to God; This is usually 10% of our hard earned income. It is a valuable benchmark. As we plan our financial commitments for the year, let us do so with generosity and joy, reflecting God's love and abundance.
