Funded by huge corporations, computers are getting smarter and faster than ever. Soon those systems will be able to outthink the smartest person while calling on, assessing and conveying everything ever written on a subject. When the computer can improve itself to accelerate its learning, no one knows where that leads.
Colossians 2:8 says, ‘See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.’ (NIV)
A.I. will become the biggest opportunity for humanity and the biggest threat at the same time. Computers will direct more and more of our lives. We have to be careful not to rush in. Remember, an A.I. computer has no soul, morals, values, purpose, or meaning; it is a pervasive computer program. Let’s pray in faith for wisdom in Jesus’ name.
Quote We should never put technology above relationships.
Prayer
Lord, I pray that you would guide and lead the people working on A.I. into the truth of Jesus. Amen.
