00375 - Hobbies

A hobby is always good for balancing life and managing stress. You might like painting watercolours, beach shell art, fishing, cooking, gardening, golf or pottery. The brain’s frontal cortex helps creativity, sends endorphins around the brain, helps us feel good, helps us relax, and helps us sleep better.

Exodus 35:35 just mentions a few aspects of creativity; it says, ‘The Lord has given them the skill to do all kinds of work. They are able to cut designs in metal and stone. They can plan and sew designs in the fine linen with the blue, purple, and red thread. And they are also able to weave things.’ (NCV)

Don’t be shy; get one or more hobbies; you will feel brighter, be more creative and have a better outlook on life. The storms of the day will not overtake you so much, and you’ll focus on family and God better.

Quote A hobby is God’s expression of creativity through you.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord; You created me in Your creative image; thank You, Lord. Amen.

Action Point

If you feel stressed, find a hobby to start within the next month, you won’t regret it.
