00345 - Being Intentional

Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, ‘This is the conclusion of the matter. Everything has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments. For mankind, this is everything.’ (EHV) Intentional (from the dictionary) means ‘To be done with intention or on purpose’.

When we think about our Christian walk, there are only a handful of things which God asks us to do. Follow the commandments, love our neighbours, take care of widows and orphans, serve people and make disciples. The rest of the scripture teaches us how to do those things well.

If you were to make a list of the top five things, you would like to do better as a Christian. Then start a process about what you have written. Give the list your faith, prayer and time while you work on them and watch the outcomes take place - you will be amazed at what happens when you are intentional.

Quote

If Jesus was intentional for us, we can be intentional for Him.

Prayer

Lord, help me think through the things in life which I need to be more serious about in my walk with You. Amen.

Action Point

Do just that; write down five things you could be intentional about improving your relationship with God.
