Time For A Prayer Walk

Carl Brettle

Updated: Jan 25

When prayer walking your street or community, you bring the presence of God through prayer to rest on that place. Christians have sometimes found that regular prayer walks have seen crime reduce, abandon houses restored, house Churches planted and a sense of the spiritual atmosphere of the whole community raise.

John 15:16 says ‘You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit - fruit that will last – and so whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you’.

We know that God’s plan is for everyone to find and know Him through Jesus. Your prayer walks could make all the difference down the line for the people on your street. Praying for the lonely, for the poor, for the jobless, researching the need on your street and praying into it is bound to have a positive outcome.

Quote Prayer walking is bound to have more outcome than no prayer at all.

Prayer Father, I declare my street and community is yours and I will pray regularly for your presence to come there in Jesus’s name, Amen.

Action point

Prayer Walk like God owns the street because He does. When you walk and believe you are redeeming the ground you walk upon.
