00675 - Progress

Progress is echoed in Scripture, where growth and transformation are frequently birthed from challenging circumstances. Romans 5:3-4 (ESV) articulates this beautifully: "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope."

Venturing outside of our comfort zones can be daunting, yet it is in these spaces that we are pushed to rely more deeply on God. It is here, in the uncertain and often uncomfortable, that our trust in God is refined, and our dependence on His guidance is solidified.

Moving beyond our comfort zones opens us to the transformative work God desires to do in and through us. In this journey of faith, we discover that the most significant progress happens not when we are secure and unchallenged but when we are stretched and tested; that’s when we know God is God, no matter the circumstance.

Quote

The place beyond our comfort zone is where we mature and grow.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for being with me even when I find progress challenging.

Action Point

Take a day and think about what you are learning during this stretching time.
