The Message Bible declares in Romans 5:3-4 "We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next."
Behind every strong individual lies a backstory of struggle and perseverance that isn't always visible. The adversities faced compel individuals to find strength they may not have known they possessed, pushing them to rely on their resolve and faith in God's sustaining power.
As we acknowledge the hidden struggles behind strength, we can appreciate the depth of resilience in those around us and offer support and compassion to those in their battles, recognising that strength is often a testament to overcoming adversity with God's guidance lighting the way. Strength most often arrives shortly after challenge is overcome.
