00659 - TODAY

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Philippians 2:8 (NIV) says, "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” We can learn from Christ’s example through this acronym ‘TODAY’: (T)rust, (O)bedience, (D)evotion, (A)doration, (Y)ielding.

Just as the crowds laid down palm branches before Jesus, we are called to lay down our lives in trust and obedience to His will. People shouted "Hosanna!" recognising Jesus as their awaited Messiah. Our TODAY should be filled with devotion and adoration for Christ, acknowledging Him as Lord of our lives.

Yielding represents our surrender to God’s plan, as Jesus submitted to the Father's will during His journey to the cross. Let our TODAY be a commitment to yield to God’s ways, embracing His path with humility and courage.

Quote

Yielding to God’s will is more about what you gain than lose.

Make me a child of God worthy of that claim, I pray. Amen.

Action Point

What would you give up for Christ? TV, Comfort, Time, Finances - think about it.
