The role of a mother is epitomised by selfless love and sacrifice, a reflection of God’s love for us. In Isaiah 66:13 (NIV), God compares His comfort to that of a mother: "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem." Mothers often place their own needs and desires aside to ensure the well-being and happiness of their children, embodying a love that is patient, kind, and unconditional.
It's a love that shapes characters, moulds futures, and provides a secure foundation for children to build their lives. Mothers are unique in their sacrifice.
As we reflect on the selflessness and strength of maternal love, let us strive to express our gratitude and appreciation, not just in words but through our actions and attitudes. In doing so, we honour our mothers and the God who created and exemplifies this perfect love.
