The Ministry Of Bleach

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 18

The adage 'cleanliness is next to godliness' often brings to mind images of sparkling floors and spotless windows, but imagine if we had a 'Ministry of Bleach' dedicated to scrubbing and scouring! This sentiment aligns loosely with scriptures that speak to purity, like 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NLT): "Let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God."

While we chuckle at the thought of heavenly hosts wielding mop buckets, A clean space can reflect a certain order and peace that allows us to focus more clearly on the tasks—or prayers—at hand. Just think of it as part of our daily life.

So, next time you're elbow-deep in suds, consider it a sacred act, bringing a slice of heaven's order to earth. Albeit with a bit more elbow grease and a splash of humour.

Quote

A clean and tidy life is a reflection of an ordered and pure heart.

Prayer

Help me Lord order my life in a way that will more reflect You. Amen.

Action Point

List the clutter and work through it, one job at a time. You’ll feel better for it.
