This gift is one of the more intriguing ones listed in the New Testament. 1 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV) mentions it: "to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues."
When someone speaks in tongues during a meeting, the room can be filled with awe, but without interpretation, the message often remains a mystery. That's where the gift of interpretation comes in. It serves as the decoder, translating the tongues into something the congregation can benefit from.
This gift bestows the ability to bridge the gap between heavenly utterances and earthly understanding. It confirms and amplifies the power of the Holy Spirit. If you find yourself in a setting where tongues are spoken, and someone rises to interpret, pay close attention. You're witnessing a unique and powerful manifestation of God's Spirit in action.
Quote Tongues and Interpretation give a deeper sense of God, to build up the Church.
Thank you Lord for spiritual gifts, help me use them. Amen.
If you don’t speak in tongues, pray and ask God to allow you to use this gift.
