A cacophony of news, updates, and notifications bombards today's world. While staying informed is important, the constant noise can be overwhelming, fuelling anxiety and distracting us from our spiritual focus. The clutter of worldly concerns can make it difficult to hear God's still, small voice.
Philippians 4:8 (NIV) instructs us: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
By consciously limiting our exposure to the news stream and focusing more on God’s Word, we create space for faith to grow. Taking time for quiet reflection and prayer enables us to deepen our relationship with God, fortifying our faith against the storms of life. By seeking what is noble, right, and pure, we align ourselves more closely with God's purpose and find peace from the noise.

Lord, help me not to be distracted by things I can’t change; help me focus on You. Amen.
