00446 - Who Do You Admire?

The character of a Christian is shaped and refined by the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. To be Christ-like is to embody love, compassion, humility, and integrity. We should admire and strive to emulate these traits exampled in the lives of the people around us.

In Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV), the Apostle Paul paints a vivid picture of the virtues that should adorn a Christian's character: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." These are not mere qualities but tangible evidence of God's Spirit working within an individual.

As Christians, the challenge in life is to reflect these fruits in every interaction and decision we make. By doing so, we don't just become admirable in the eyes of society, but more importantly, we become true representatives of Christ. Find who you admire, and learn from them to be respected.

Quote Be the best you that you can be - reflect Jesus.

Prayer

Help me, Father, to learn from those around me who exemplify you so that you can too. Amen.

Action Point

Spend more time with people who mirror Jesus and less time with those who don’t.
