Faith to Overcome Drugs in Your Community

Updated: Feb 17

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, ‘No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.’ (NKJV)

Many people in the wider society don’t know Jesus and use drugs. It's a hidden social disease. People who don’t feel fulfilled or without purpose often replace that Jesus-shaped hole in their lives with anything else which makes them feel good.

When we focus on faith and pray for anyone we know who is taking drugs, we start a spiritual process of influencing change for them, and the potential for them to become believers. If we don’t pray, people will continue to be left to their sin. Prayer is the key to setting drug addicts free.

Quote No addiction is stronger than the power of faith-filled prayer.

Prayer

Lord, would You help me identify who in my street is taking drugs so that I might pray them into your Kingdom. Amen.

Action Point

Start a specific prayer list for those who are bound up by drugs - and PRAY.
