Is There A Bad House On Your Street?

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 11

Unless you live in a rural setting or small cul-de-sac, you’ll know there are one or more houses on your street which suffer problems. It might be known domestic violence, a drug or drink problem. Our instinct is to avoid that house and the people who live inside at all cost!

Yet, imagine if that bad house was a good house, a beacon of light for Jesus. People who have had problems and get saved; usually become radical witnesses for Christ to everyone they meet. That ripple effect of evangelism is only delayed by their own salvation.

Shall we make it our business to pray that troubled family into God’s Kingdom, to focus on their salvation? Matthew 4:19 says ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ (NKJV) We have the opportunity in faith, to fish for souls on our own street!

Quote

Pray for the trouble makers - they make good evangelists!

Prayer

Lord help me pray for those around me who cause trouble, to be saved. Amen.

Action Point

This might take persistence, three months or six months of daily prayer, don’t forget the result will be glorious.
