Which Shoulder Will You Cry On?

Carl Brettle

In times of distress, we all long for a shoulder to lean on, a place of comfort and refuge. Friends and family can provide support, but even they may not always understand the depth of our struggles. There is One, however, who is always near, always ready to listen, and always able to carry our burdens—Jesus. His love is constant, and His arms are always open.

Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (NKJV). When life feels overwhelming, run to Him. Pour out your heart in prayer, knowing He hears, He understands, and He cares. His presence is the safest place to rest your weary soul.

So, when tears fall and the weight is too heavy, lean on Christ. His shoulders are always strong enough to carry both you and your burdens.

Quote

The safest place to cry is in the arms of Jesus.
