00114 - The Lord’s Prayer

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

The Lord’s Prayer is prayed literally millions of times a day in hundreds of different languages around the world.

If you focus on the opening line of the scripture have will notice what Jesus says in the introduction to it; Matthew 6:9-13 ‘This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven…..”’ (NIV). ‘This is how you should pray’ is the key phrase and it’s Jesus saying it, so let’s take note of what He says when we pray.

If you look at this scripture step by step, you’ll see, 1) we see God as Holy, 2) we ask for His Kingdom and will to be done on Earth, 3) we see life as a dependency on God, 4) we release our burden of circumstance and forgive, 5) that we avoid sin 6) pray for deliverance from satan. That is a recipe for prayer we could all live by.

Quote The Lord’s Prayer is a scripture to live by not a scripture to ignore.
