As the Covid Lockdown hit, an unknown fitness instructor, Joe Wicks started daily work outs on YouTube. He focussed on schools, who’s children were stuck at home. Within days of him starting the fitness videos, over a million people each day were joining in. Everyone felt a sense of distant togetherness, an online community that joined in a beneficial workout, good for the body and good for the soul, since then young and old have joined in this new phenomenon.
Proverbs 17:22 says ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.’ (NLT)
It’s ironic that when we are down, we eat more and pile on the pounds, we also don’t exercise. Yet when we exercise it makes us feel good, helps our mental health and the body follows along, giving us more energy and helping us all to live a longer more fruitful life.
Quote
An energetic body will help focus your mind.
