It is sometimes said that you can only count your true friends on one hand. I guess meaning the friends that walk with you the most of your life. Proverbs 17:17 says ‘Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble’. (MSG)
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in new friendships, whether starting a job or moving house, there are always new people to meet. Just be careful to maintain contact with those life long friends, who will love you no matter what. The negative voices that sometimes creep into life can throw you off track and shift your view of faith. Keep the rhythm of positive friendship alive where ever you can.
Sometimes you won’t see a friend for a while, but the conversation picks up right from the place you left it, cherish your friends, they believe in you.
Quote
A good friend's conversation is like a soothing ointment to a wounded soul.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for my close friends, I pray you would bless and keep them in the name of your son Jesus, Amen
Action Point
If you haven’t spoken to someone for a while, give them a surprise ring or arrange a visit, and you’ll both be happier for it.
