On June 29th 2007, Steve Jobs the then CEO of Apple computers, was on stage, reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, which he called a smart phone. For many it was the dawn of a connected society, where your phone, address book, photo library, note pad, camera and CD collection was all brought to one device, they have gone onto sell 2.2 billion devices.
Steve Jobs wasn’t afraid to disrupt the computer and telephone markets. He had an idea which many thought was crazy, but he thought was right. Sometimes our walk in God’s kingdom is like that. Isaiah 43:19 talks about ‘Behold I am doing a new thing! now it springs up, do you perceive it?’ (NIV).
You might have had an idea of a way to introduce people to Jesus, why not give it a go? it will never work if you don’t try.
Quote
Insanity - doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.
Prayer
Father, give me the confidence to try something new for the sake of those around me, Amen.
Action Point If you are the one person reading this that has doubted yourself to the point of inaction of an idea - take another look, God’s Kingdom might need what is not yet born within you.
