If you look at the definition, intimacy can be broken down into four areas, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual. The lustful and sexual side is only reserved for our partners, but with the rest we can easily consider God.
Jeremiah 33:3 says ‘Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come’. (NLT)
God might be described as our best friend, mentor, protector, provider, healer, provider of wisdom and direction. With all of that in mind, in our relationship with God, open up your heart and mind and let Him visit those spaces with inspiration, encouragement, healing, mercy and grace. The opportunity intimacy allows, means that we get to walk life with our great friend, learn from Him, understand His wisdom and get to see His power work through you. Intimacy with The Father, reveals God in and through your life, Amen.
