Growing up in a rural area, it was quite natural to look after nature, not litter etc. Recycling was never thought of. There were no single use plastics, everyone bought locally, the community looked after itself and the environment. How things have changed.
Within the space of 40 years, mans stewardship of the planet has seemed to have slipped to a place where there is now a gargantuan task ahead, to firstly live life in a more natural way and secondly clean up the mess that’s been made, even if we didn’t contribute to it. Interestingly 40 years ago the population of earth was about half of what it is today.
Genesis 2:15 says ‘The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it’. (ESV) What ever has happened, we must get back to protecting our planet for tomorrow.
