Decades ago, the word depression was a taboo word, it was a social weakness even to mention it, yet there are hundreds of scriptures which speak straight into how we feel and how to keep moving forward.
Isaiah 41:10 says ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’ (NIV)
Depression is the constant influence of stress and anxiety in life. It’s when you feel worn down and worn out. Whatever is capturing your heart and overwhelming you, know that God wants to help you through. Your future will get beyond stress, anxiety, and depression, focus on this promise from God and pray into that each day, He is with you and will see you through. Let God help you; depression will not define you.
Quote
Depression is will not define you, when God walks with you.
Prayer
Help me Lord, to experience that the deeper I walk with you, the further away I will be from stress, anxiety, and depression, Amen.
Action Point
Depression is a season you or a friend might be walking through. In your journey with Jesus, it won’t define your future. Pray for the next week for things to improve, they will.
