We raise our children with a simple rule, ‘We love you when you are happy, we love you when you are sad, we love you when you are naughty, and we love you when you are good’.
There’s been many times when Psalm 107:1 comes to mind when going through this method with our children. ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever’. (NIV)
We thank God for our kids, we will live on through them and their families, when the time comes. The scripture in Psalms reminds us to give thanks to God for everything we have, for His love to us when we are happy, sad, angry or loving. When you have a heart of gratitude, love will flow out of your mouth, love will be extended through your hands, love will invade every aspect of your life and signpost people to Jesus.
Live a life of gratitude, and everyone will be touched by Love.
Father, help to be find gratitude in everything, that my life might example praise of your name.
Action Point Write a list of 20 things you can give God thanks for, then build you faith from that for the next two things you need to see God come through on.
