00976 - Keep On Smiling

Carl Brettle

It takes many more muscles in your face to frown instead of smile. A smile has the power to brighten even the darkest day, not just for you but for those around you. It’s a simple expression, but it speaks volumes about the joy and hope found in Christ. When life feels heavy, choosing to smile is an act of faith that reminds you of God’s goodness and promises, even in challenging times.

Proverbs 17:22 in The Message puts it beautifully: “A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.” (MSG) Smiling, even when you don’t feel like it, shifts your perspective, lifting your spirit and spreading positivity to others.

Keep on smiling, not out of denial but because you trust God’s plan. Let your smile reflect His wonderful joy within you, showing the world the strength and peace that come from knowing Him.

Quote

A smile is the light of faith shining through.

Prayer

Lord, help me to reflect Your joy in every situation through the simple gift of a smile. Amen.

Action Point

Share a smile today with someone who might need encouragement—it could change their day.
