St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr, was a man of deep faith, courage, and unwavering commitment to Christ. As one of the early church’s deacons, he was chosen for his wisdom and filled with the Holy Spirit to serve and care for others. Stephen boldly proclaimed the gospel, even when faced with opposition, standing firm in his faith despite the cost.
Look at this in Acts 7:55, which tells us, “But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw God’s glory and Jesus standing at the right side of God” (GNT). This reminds us of his unshakable faith, even when facing persecution. His life teaches us to trust God wholeheartedly and boldly share His love, regardless of our challenges.
We learn the power of faith, service, and courage from Stephen. His example inspires us to stand firm in our faith and live boldly for Christ.
