Praying The Bible

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 23

Praying the Bible is a fantastic way to connect with God and deepen your faith. It allows you to align your prayers with His Word, ensuring that your petitions and praises are rooted in truth. By speaking Scripture back to God, you declare His promises and build your confidence in His faithfulness and guidance.

Isaiah 55:11 reminds us, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (NKJV). When you pray the Bible, you can trust that God’s Word is powerful and will bring about His perfect will in your life.

This wonderful practice strengthens your faith as it immerses you in God’s truths. It transforms your prayer life into a vibrant, Scripture-filled conversation with the One who loves you deeply.

Quote

When you pray God’s word back to Him, you use His word to help you.

Prayer

Thank You for Your word, Lord. Could you help me to immerse myself in it? Amen.

Action Point

I would wholeheartedly recommend praying God’s word an hour per week.
