Sleep is one of God’s simple yet profound gifts to us. It renews our bodies, restores our minds, and strengthens us for the day ahead. Sleep can often be undervalued in our fast-paced world, but taking time to rest is an essential part of living well. God created us with the need for rest, showing that He values balance and well-being.
Psalm 127:2 reminds us, “It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones” (NLT). This verse reassures us that rest is necessary and a blessing from God, showing His care and provision.
Quality sleep helps us to be more focused, productive, and joyful in our daily lives. By prioritising rest, we respect the way God designed us and equip ourselves to serve Him and others more effectively.
