Expecting An Answer

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 23

Expecting an answer to prayer involves aligning our hearts with God’s will and seeking Him earnestly. First, we must approach with faith, believing He hears and responds to His children. James 1:6 tells us, “But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind” (GNT). Faith is the foundation of effective prayer.

Secondly, living in obedience to God leads to answered prayers. When we follow His commands, our desires align with His, making our prayers powerful and sincere.

Finally, persistence in prayer shows our trust in God’s timing. He encourages us not to give up but to keep seeking Him, knowing He will answer perfectly. We open our lives to the transformative power of answered prayer through faith, obedience, and persistence. Focus on this advice and persistently pray through.

Lord, sometimes I get frustrated that You don’t do what I want. Help me to pray for what You want. Amen.
