Friendship is one of life’s most precious gifts, bringing joy, support, and encouragement. Cherishing the friends we have means investing in relationships that uplift and inspire. True friends walk alongside us through life’s celebrations and struggles, reflecting God’s love in tangible ways. They remind us that we were never meant to walk alone but to share our journey with others.
Proverbs 17:17 beautifully illustrates this truth: “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity” (NIV). This verse highlights well the enduring nature of genuine friendship, reminding us that real friends are steadfast and present through every season.
To cherish friendship is to nurture it with kindness, honesty, and time. When we value and build up our friends, we reflect the love of Christ, fostering bonds that stand firm. By doing so, we create relationships that nourish the soul and honour God.
