One great way to bring His story to life for children is through storytelling with visual aids. Using picture books or setting up a small stage for puppet shows can make Bible stories engaging and memorable. Through these visual stories, children can see Jesus’ kindness, miracles, and love for others in a way they can relate to.
Another idea is to create “Jesus journals” where children can draw or write about what they’ve learned about Jesus each week. It’s a simple way for them to reflect and build their understanding of who He is. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me…For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children” (Matthew 19:14, NLT).
Finally, role-playing games in which children act out Jesus’ teachings can be powerful. They allow them to experience His compassion, generosity, and forgiveness, bringing His example to life in practical ways.
