The phrase “The darkest hour is just before the dawn,” often credited to Thomas Fuller (1650), speaks to a powerful truth in our lives. Sometimes, we face periods of struggle, uncertainty, or sorrow that seem unending, yet these moments often lead to transformation and hope. God allows us to go through trials, but He promises His light will break through, bringing us comfort and renewal.
The Bible reassures us of this hope. Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning” (NCV). Just as dawn follows the darkest part of the night, God’s presence and grace bring us new beginnings after seasons of hardship. His light dispels any darkness we face.
Holding onto this promise, we can face life’s challenges with courage. God’s dawn is always on the horizon, ready to shine brighter than any struggle, reminding us that His joy is near.
