00873 - Become An Advocate For Jesus

Carl Brettle

Advocating for Jesus means representing Him through our prayers, words, and actions. It’s not just about talking about faith but living it out daily. We lift others before God in prayer and ask for His guidance and wisdom in all we do. By praying for others, we align ourselves with Christ’s heart for them.

Our words matter, too. When we speak truth, kindness, and encouragement, we reflect Jesus to those around us. As 1 Peter 3:15 says, "Always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (NKJV). Being an advocate means sharing our faith with gentleness and pointing others to Christ.

Finally, our deeds speak louder than words. By serving others, showing compassion, and living with integrity, we become a living testimony of Jesus’ love. We can be His hands and feet in prayer, word, and deed.

Quote

When we have given our lives to Jesus, it’s easy to talk to others about Him.

Prayer

Lord, speak to me about the best ways of talking to others about You. Amen.

Action Point

Have you ever encouraged friends to attend a local Alpha course?
