Bible Fact #2: 2 Kings contains the story of a king who reigned for just seven days, King Jehoahaz of Israel. This might seem surprising, but it’s a powerful reminder that no matter how brief our time or influence, God can still use it for His purposes. Even though Jehoahaz’s reign was short-lived, his life was part of God’s more excellent plan for His people.
The Bible often highlights that our significance isn’t about how long we reign or influence but how we align our lives with God's will. James 4:14 reminds us, "What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes" (NIV). What we do with the short time given to us genuinely matters.
This fact encourages us to make the most of every moment, trusting that even in small ways, we can leave a lasting impact on God’s kingdom.
