In life, we sometimes meet people who seem forged from a hotter flame, shaped by intense trials and experiences that have made them resilient and wise. They often carry stories of overcoming great difficulties, and their strength can be inspiring. Proverbs 27:17 (TLB) reminds us, “A friendly discussion is as stimulating as the sparks that fly when iron strikes iron,” showing that our interactions can encourage and strengthen each other.
Supporting those who have walked through fire means standing by them, offering a listening ear and genuine understanding. Our prayers and encouragement can help lighten their load and remind them they are not alone. They often need someone who recognises their journey and the strength they’ve built.
We can also learn from them, drawing on their experiences to deepen our faith and resilience. Building relationships rooted in empathy and shared strength creates a community where everyone grows and thrives.
