00833 - Standing In The Gap

When we intercede for others, we bring their needs and struggles before God, trusting Him to move in their lives. It expresses our belief that God hears and answers prayer, allowing us to partner with Him in the spiritual battles others may be facing.

Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV), says, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land.” God desires people willing to stand in the gap, to pray fervently and faithfully on behalf of others, seeking His intervention and mercy.

When you stand in the gap for someone, you place yourself between them and their challenges, lifting them in faith. It requires persistence and a heart aligned with God’s will. Trust that your prayers can make a difference, bringing healing, breakthroughs, and peace to those you are praying for, according to God's plan.

Quote

Intercession for others is a privilege, not an inconvenience.

Prayer

Lord, help me to be diligent about listening to Your voice and knowing who I should stand in the gap for. Amen.

Action Point

When did you last ask God who I should pray for today, Lord?
