Finding peace can often seem elusive. However, as Christians, we have an excellent assurance in Jehovah Shalom, which means "The Lord is Peace." This name of God speaks volumes about His ability to help us do just that in His unique way.
Judges 6:24 (ESV) says, "Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, The Lord Is Peace." Gideon experienced God's peace amidst fear and uncertainty, and this same peace is available to us today. When we face challenges or anxieties, turning to God can calm our hearts and minds, reminding us that He is in control.
This means trusting God's peace is an absence of conflict and a deep sense of well-being. By leaning on Him, we can navigate life's storms with a serene heart, knowing that our ultimate peace comes from our relationship with Him. It's a peace that sustains and empowers us.
