The poem "Footprints in the Sand" beautifully illustrates how God supports us through life's challenges. It tells the story of a person who dreams of walking along the beach with the Lord, noticing two footprints in the sand. However, there is only one set of footprints during the most challenging times. When questioned, the Lord explains, "During your times of trial and suffering, it was then that I carried you.”
This idea is supported by Scripture. Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV) reminds us, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." This verse strengthens our faith, assuring us that God’s presence is constant, even when we cannot see it.
This assurance helps us remain strong and courageous, comforting us with the knowledge that we are never alone on our journey.
