The Humilty Of Jesus

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 22

Despite being the Son of God, Jesus chose to live a life of humility, washing His disciples' feet and ultimately sacrificing Himself on the cross for our sins. Philippians 2:8 (KJV) captures his humble nature beautifully: "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Understanding Jesus' humility helps us cultivate a similar attitude in our own lives. It encourages us to put others before ourselves, serve without seeking recognition, and remain obedient to God's guidance. Following His example teaches us to let go of pride and embrace a spirit of meekness and servitude.

Having humility reminds us that true greatness lies in serving others and living a life of selfless love. When we practice humility, we reflect Jesus' character, making our faith more authentic and impactful in a world that often values self-promotion and pride.

Quote

Humility is the reflection of Jesus’ character.
