00746 - What Are You In Charge Of?

We have been given responsibilities at work, home or in our communities. Our job is to manage these duties with integrity and diligence, recognising that our actions reflect our faith in God.

Encouraging others to grow in their faith and abilities helps create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. As leaders, it’s our responsibility to cultivate a sense of purpose and community, fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.

The Bible provides insight into this aspect of leadership. 1 Peter 5:2 (GNT) says, "Be shepherds of the flock that God gave you and take care of it willingly, as God wants you to, and not unwillingly." This verse highlights the importance of leading with a willing heart and a sense of duty. By doing our work faithfully and guiding those we lead towards God's path, we honour Him and fulfil our calling, bringing glory to His name.
