Listening to God requires a heart willing to be still and receptive. It begins with prayer. Jesus often retreated to quiet places to pray, showing us the importance of solitude in hearing from God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the passages you read God’s word, making them relevant to your current situations and challenges. Remember, "All Scripture is breathed out by God" (2 Timothy 3:16).
Lastly, be attentive to God’s voice in your daily life. He often speaks through circumstances, other people, and the inner promptings of the Holy Spirit. Cultivate an attitude of listening by staying humble and teachable. Trust that God desires to communicate with you and lead you on the right path. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
