Life Lesson - Be Passionate

Carl Brettle

Updated: Feb 22

Being passionate is essential, even when things don’t work out as we’d like. Passion for our faith keeps us motivated and focused on God’s purpose, helping us navigate life’s ups and downs with hope and perseverance.

Romans 12:11 (ESV) urges us to "Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord." This reminds us to maintain our enthusiasm, serving God wholeheartedly regardless of circumstances. When we face setbacks, it’s crucial to remember that our passion for Christ can carry us through.

To stay passionate, immerse yourself in prayer, worship, and Bible study. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can encourage and uplift you. Remember that God’s plans are more significant than ours, and even when things don’t go as expected, His love and purpose for us remain steadfast. Trusting in Him keeps our passion alive, guiding us to live fully for His glory.

Quote

Passion happens when you have people around you who believe in you.

Prayer

Lord, empower my passion so that I might serve You more. Amen.

Action Point

Consider looking at the things in life which distract you from passion.
