Goodness, as a fruit of the Spirit, represents a desire to do what is right. Showing others kindness, generosity, and compassion reflects God's character daily. We positively impact society by exhibiting goodness and spreading God's love and light.
The Bible describes the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22 (TLB): "But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness." Goodness is a natural outflow of a life led by the Holy Spirit, guiding us to act with integrity and care for others.
We can volunteer our time to help those in need, offer a listening ear to someone going through a tough time, or be a positive and encouraging presence in our communities. By living out the goodness of the Holy Spirit, we make a meaningful difference and inspire others to do the same.
Quote
It costs nothing to be kind. Goodness is a lifestyle, not an event.
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your goodness to me; help me be good to others. Amen.
Action Point
When was the last time you had a prayer time when you just thanked God for His goodness?
