Whit Monday, the day after Pentecost, marks the beginning of the Holy Spirit's work in the early church. This particular day reminds us of the power of the Holy Spirit, which was first poured out on the disciples, empowering them to spread the Gospel with boldness and conviction.
In Acts 2:4 (NASB), the Bible tells us, "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance." This mission is to share Christ with people, break down barriers, and build a unified body of followers of Him.
Whit Monday is a chance for us to remember that the Holy Spirit continues to work in and through us. As we celebrate, let's open our hearts to the Spirit's guidance, allowing His power to inspire and equip us to live out our faith boldly, just as the disciples did.
