Patience is a Fruit of the Spirit, a quality that enriches our lives and relationships. Galatians 5:22 (TLB) describes the Fruit of the Spirit as including "love, joy, peace, patience..." among others. Patience reflects a trust in God's timing and an understanding that our immediate desires or circumstances do not always align with His more excellent plan.
Patience is a gift in a world that often values speed and instant gratification. It’s a slowing down and a willingness to bear with others and situations, even when challenging.
By cultivating patience, we echo the patience God shows us daily. We then can show the same grace and understanding we receive from Him, building more robust, more loving relationships. As we grow in patience, we focus more on God’s character, demonstrating His love to a home, a street, and a community that inevitably needs God—they just don’t know it yet.
