In the hustle and bustle of life, with its myriad demands and challenges, it's all too easy to get caught up in the immediacy of what's in front of us. Yet, there's is wisdom that beckons us to shift our gaze upward. The psalmist poetically urges, "I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains." (Psalm 121:1-2, MSG).
Looking up symbolises hope and expectation. It's an action that reorients our perspective, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. When we lift our eyes to God, we acknowledge our reliance on Him. It's an admission that our own resources are finite, but there's infinite power available to us.
So whenever we feel overwhelmed, when the path ahead seems steep and treacherous, let's remember to look up. God waits for your gaze.
